Khan has been engaged in several non-profit groups during his profession. He has began an NGO known as Being Individual which will offer T-shirts and other items on the internet and in shops. A part of the revenue will go to a deserving cause assisting the disadvantaged. Being Individual Base is a authorized non-profit believe in set up by Salman Khan for assisting the cause of the disadvantaged. In its beginning, Salman Khan set up and financed the Base using his own cash. The Base has two concentrate areas: Knowledge and Medical care. To improve the achieve and corpus of the Base, Salman Khan has performed projects such as Being Individual Art; Being Individual merchandise; and Being Individual Gitanjali Silver Money.
In 2011, he released his own manufacturing organization known as SKBH Shows (Salman Khan Being Individual Productions). Money which will be produced from movie productions will be contributed to Being Individual. First movie created under the advertising was kids performer Chillar Celebration, which went on to win 3 Nationwide Prizes, for Best Kid's movie, best unique movie script and Kid Artists Prize .
In Jan 2012, Khan has provided to pay 40 lakh (US$73,000) for launching around 400 criminals from around 63 jails in the condition of Uttar Pradesh via his NGO. The criminals had finished their phrase but due to cost-effective factors, they were incapable to pay a lawful excellent for their expenses.
